Alaska and Anderson Silva
A lot has happened.
I am writing however, on their game last night. 11 April 2010. Versus San Miguel Beer.
Miller had the chance to win it, but muffed it instead when he missed the first free throw on the last foul of the SMB import Gabe Freeman.
Huh! Lucky for Alaska, Freeman was called for a foul. Too bad, Miller missed one. Instead of being ahead by a point (had he made the free throw....), with 1.5 seconds remaining in the game......
Oh well... Extension period with SMB having no import should be a breeze. What with the Aces having a "prolific" import in Diamon Simpson...
I had a feeling that Alaska will lose the game. And so it did.
I hate it... But Alaska has become so predictable. Willie Miller is a great player. But he cannot win it all by himself. True, he can score if he wants to. Anytime. On any part of the court that is... But....
Winning time is Miller time.... But..... Uh... He was blocked by a taller Arwind Santos on two (or was it three) attempts in the closing minutes?.... Alaska has become so predictable that every opponent knows that Miller will have the last shot, if the game is close....
I'm just frustrated maybe.... Oh well.... I miss the old Alaska.... the 94-95-96 team...... A lot has happened since then.... I hope Alaska comes up with better games on their coming ones...
Next is Anderson "The Spider" Silva... Of the UFC fame.
Thought I've never seen all of his title defense fights, I saw some of his games... He is amazing.
However, last night, I saw him mocking and taunting this challenger Maia... Like he does not know the word respect.
And there goes my respect for this guy.... I mean, he sure can finish Maia in one or two rounds... But he played around. Fooled around. Ended up being the bigger fool himself! Haha.
Analyze this.
The fans were booing him on the fourth or fifth round - even though the result was pretty obvious that Silva has won the match...
The fans were egging Maia on, on the fourth or fifth round - even though the result was pretty obvious that Silva has won the match...
Imagine the fans chanting GSP instead of Silva - who is currently on the ring...
Imagine being warned by referee - for running around the ring - though Silva is obviously NOT the one hurt. God bless that referee!!
Imagine the referee raising the hand of Silva as the winner - for about two seconds only? Maybe less!?!! And then the referee dropping the hand of Silva like it's a hot potato. And the face of the referee - was it Migraliotta (sorry I forgot the name) - like he was DISGUSTED at Silva...
Oh well.... I hate sportsmen who don't show respect for their opponents.... To me, they are lower than the opponent whom they beat easily... May there be one MMArtist that'll beat the hell out of this spider. Tough. But not an impossibility...
Next time.

honesty, grass and all
but it's not very wise to honest and mean.
- wes fessler
successful people always look at things positively.
it always starts in the mind!
if you don't think you have it, the UNIVERSE will CONSPIRE.
if you think YOU HAVE IT, then YOU HAVE IT.
you will look at life very differently.
God's guidance is like a flashlight in a tunnel - it doesn't shine on all corners at once, but it gives you just enough light for the next step.
you can't predict what's going to happen, but sometimes, the thing you didn't expect is what you really wanted after all. and maybe, the best thing to do is to stop trying to figure out where you are going and just enjoy where you are at.
god wants us to live like the grass.
even if it is stepped on, crushed, burned and cut,
it always persists and grows back even greener and stronger!

in life, we must learn how to say "i'm sorry", "i love you", "thank you" and "goodbye".
it might not be easy but we can also say "you're welcome", "please stay" or even "stop".
it would just be a matter of choice, choice of words, choice of time and choice of person.
so be honest, listen and say what's in your heart.
why do we have repeated experiences? it's because repeated experiences have one aim: to teach something you refuse to learn.

PANGKALOKOHAN
geometry ba ang favorite mong subject?
kc kahit anong angle, ang cute mo eh.
alam mo ba scientist ako?
kasi ikaw ang LAB ko.
ano height mo?
paano ka nagkasya sa puso ko?
ang galing mo siguro sa puzzles.
kasi umaga pa lang nabuo mo na araw ko.
hindi tayo tao, hindi tayo hayop.

nahuhulog kasi ako sa iyo.

my license ka ba?
coz you're driving me crazy.

kanina ka pa kasi tumatakbo sa isip ko.

PANGKATUTUHAN
happy is the person who does not show hatred over what is lost, but instead, shows gratefulness over what is left.
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there…to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be but you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would never realize your potential, strength, will power or heart.
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Illness, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test limits of your soul.
Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create whom you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things. Make every day count. Appreciate everything that you possibly can, for you may never experience it again.
Talk to people whom you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

stress-post
specific emotions that weaken the organs in the body:
ANGER weakens the LIVER;
GRIEF weakens the LUNGS;
WORRY weakens the TUMMY;
STRESS weakens the HEART and BRAIN;
FEAR fails the KIDNEY;
so stay happy, look good, feel good.
and of course, rest and feel secured in God's loving arms.

"HEALTHY HEART"
HEAL THY HEART
if we allow God to heal our hearts from past wounds, insults & pains...
learn not to wait for people to say "sorry"...
and not to hold grudges
then we have a HEALED & HEALTHY HEART
"Have a heart that never hardens, a temper that never tires & a touch that never hurts..."
